Littorai 2020 Cerise Vineyard Pinot Noir

From the warmer end of the Anderson Valley in Mendocino Country, the Cerise is a high-elevation vineyard right in the fog layer, which provides broad temperature swings.

The fruit for this wine comes off a specific block of the vineyard, planted expressly for Littorai in 1998, small berries with high skin-to-juice ratio means the wines produced by Ted from here are powerful and complex.

This wine is super floral on the nose, purple and red flowers drive it along with some red orchard fruits. Quite rich on the palate, there is exceptional balance between the evolved tannin structure and the richness, all framed with great acidity on the finish. Possibly the most singular and special of all the Pinots made by Littorai.
