Ashton Hills 2023 Piccadilly Valley Pinot Noir

The Ashton Hills 2023 Piccadilly Valley Pinot Noir is a stunning reflection of both the region and the people behind the wine. Made by head winemaker Liam Van Pelt under the watchful eye of Stephen George who is a pioneer of the region that is the Adelaide Hills and founder of Ashton Hills. This Pinot Noir is all about crafting balance. The vineyard is sustainably managed, with the wine is made in small batches, allowing for a hands-on approach that lets the true character of the Piccadilly Valley shine through. Expect an elegant mix of juicy red fruits, plum and cherry are supported by florals and spice from the use of whole bunches. Plum, blackberry and strawberry entwine with autumnal leafy characters and soft spice. There is a juicy suppleness to the tannins, but a bright acid line and a hint of charry oak ensure the flavours linger on the palate. It’s a wine that feels both refined and approachable.
