Koerner 2021 Parish Riesling

This Parish vineyard Riesling from the Koerner brothers is a wild cracker of a wine that combines fresh raciness with a woolly, textured feel.

The vineyard is about to reach 100 years of age, and the stone fruit and citrus flavour concentration reflects the vine age. It spent a little bit of extra time on skins than the norm for Clare Rieslings, and was then part fermented in ceramic eggs.

It all adds up to a wine with a nod to skin-contact, and an enthusiastic gesture towards Riesling with texture and complexity.
